Newspapers features are ornamental presentation of facts or any incidence. After a day's work readers want to be amused. They are willing to receive instruction, too, but prefer it in the guise of entertainment. Therefore the newspaper incorporates features that may be likened to a vaudeville show.  The comic supplement is the most pronounced feature of this kind. Between the two extremes of the comic supplement and the editorial columns are feature stories on an infinite variety of subjects, designed to be instructive, entertaining or simply amusing. A feature is never dominated by facts or figures. The feature column of a newspaper is very important for it because features help the readers to distinguish it from its competitors. It is very beneficial for the newspaper to have a good feature writer. It is evident that features affect the sales of newspapers.
