Graduating high school is a fun and exciting part of a student’s life and they only get to do it once! So the best way to ensure that they make the most of this special occasion is to throw a party! But how do you throw a party for young adults? The best thing to do is to incorporate some games and activities that everyone can enjoy and get involved in.

One fantastic game that will have everyone in fits of laughter is ‘Pin the Tail on the Teacher’. This if just the same as ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey’, except that the donkey has been replaced with pictures of the year’s teachers. Also replace the tail with other strange items such as long weird earrings or a tie, use your imagination! Blindfold each person individually, spin them around a couple of times and then see where their ‘tail’ lands!

A great idea that every high school year that is graduating needs is a time capsule. Ask each person who is attending the party to bring a little memento that reminds them of their high school years such as a school t-shirt, photograph or any merchandise that the school produces. Ask each guest to write a little note about themselves or their favourite high school memory. Then tell each of them to seal their time capsule and tell them to put it away somewhere and not open it for at least twenty years.

When you send out the invitations to the party, ask each of the guests to bring a plain white t-shirt with them to change into. Set aside a little bit of time towards the end of the party for everyone to put on these shirts. Then give them each a different coloured marker pen (use fabric markers that won’t wash off) and let them sign their names and write messages on each other’s shirts. This is a great way for everyone to make sure that they are never forgotten. It could also be put in the time capsule at the end of the party for people to dig out and remember ten years later.

Active games : Redneck Golf, Beanbag toss (very popular with our local teens this year), horseshoes, water pong (non-alcoholic version of beer pong...google it...lol), tug of war (whilst being sprayed with water hose), volleyball, crocket, scavenger hunt
Sit-down games : Memory game, Best experience/memory of graduate, make a photo collage/slideshow of your graduate and open discussion about him/her thru the years by offering a toast (to get everyone's attention) and share your personal memories...

Ok I just graduated and my school put on a party here are some ideas if you can afford it hire a blowup moovbounce volleyball net the teens will love it. If you can't afford that then get some music from friends and all and set up name that tun, kareoke,and/or dancing. Also teens seem to love to take photo's get a couple immediate picture cameras and see who can get the best photos then have a prise. Always remember to have a lot of water at an indoor or outdoor party. Good luck
