Oklahoma State University offers a free CNA training program. The university provides training classes at multiple locations, with day and night schedules available. Some of the available locations where you may complete a nurse aide course include: Tahlequah,Sallisaw, Muskogee, Mangum, Jenks, Cleveland, Bartlesville and Pocola.

Please note, if you choose to attend the free program you must agree to work for a full year at a nursing home which contracts with the university.

As a nurse aide student you will learn and practice basic nursing and home health skills, which prepare you for employment upon graduation. CNA classes are provided to fit any schedule, and you can choose to attend courses during daytime, evening, or weekends.

The nurse aide training program consists of one hundred and twenty hours of instruction, which can be completed in four weeks of daytime attendance or ten weeks of evening classes. A weekend only CNA training program is also available.

Graduates of the nurse aide program are eligible to take the Oklahoma state certification exam. Successfully passing the CNA exam results in certification as a nurse aide in both long-term care and home health. Certified nurse aides who wish to continue their education in the future are encouraged to consider applying for the licensed practical nurse program offered at Tulsa Tech.

You can contact Oklahoma State University for enrolment details, class schedules, and required immunizations you might need before training begins.
