Measuring cylinder is an apparatus used in the laboratories to measure exact volumes of liquids.    It is also used at home, when a conscientious woman is trying a recipe, and she needs to measure volume of liquid ingredients required for the recipe.    It is generally made of glass or transparent plastic.    It comes in various sizes e.g. 5 milliliters (ml), 10ml, 25 ml,50ml etc. The biggest is 1000ml i.e. 1 litre.    It has markings to measure smaller volumes.  E.g. The 5 ml one has markings to measure 0.1ml.
