JAMB has become more innovative with their regular services by creating websites that make it easier for students to perform most of their UTME activities online such as registration, results checking and other post registration activities. Now students can also change institutions even after the exams have been held and results released. All the student needs to do is to go to myjambresult.com and perform the process there for changing their choice of institution, course or to check their results.

This process requires a pin and serial number from the candidate which comes in the form of a scratch card that must be purchased by the candidate for use online. This will give the student access to the site to make these amendments. The scratch cards can be purchased for N4,600 at leading banks, post offices and JAMB offices throughout Nigeria. The JAMB UTME Scratch card contains a serial number and your PIN, two vital pieces of information you will require for UTME e-registration so keep it safe.

Please be aware that JAMB has introduced a new process for 2011 UTME registration. UTME 2011 registration now requires a biometric scanner. The biometric scanner (finger print reader) will be used to capture the left and right thumbs of each candidate to combat cheating. Candidates are advised to make sure a finger print reader is available on the computer they intend to use for their JAMB UTME 2011 registration as their finger prints will be read before they can sign-up for a UTME account.

The JAMB UTME e-registration portal is at www.jamb.org.ng/Unifiedtme/Default.aspx. You must be quick though as the closing date for JAMB UTME 2011 registration is May 26, 2011; the Exam day is June 11, 2011.
