No, it is not a scam. They are a genuine and accredited online school, they have even been has been checked out and approved by the Better Business Bureau.

All online schools have to be credited and there is a really easy method of doing this that you can do yourself. Firstly, log onto the US Department of Education search page: ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx Then enter the name of the online school that you would like to research, this is the only information that you need to enter. You may be shown several schools in the search results that are presented to you, select the one that applies to you. Checks that you have selected the right school by comparing their address and contact details on the website with the ones you already have. All the school's accreditation information will be displayed to you. From here you can also view the college's institutional accreditations and the individual department accreditations.

Many people claim that Excel High School is a scam that is just a diploma mill in disguise. They say that Excel will give you a degree within a few days that other people have to earn over three or four years and that although it seems legitimate with grade listings, watchful employers and colleges can tell the difference.

If you are really unsure whether or not you believe it is a scam, then you need to visit the US Department of Education to have this verified to you. If you need more clarification, then there will be a telephone number listed on the Department of Education's contact details that you can call if you still have strong doubts. As the topic of the Excel High School scam seems to be quite popular, they probably get phone calls like this all the time. These are the people that you can trust to give you the correct information.

Excel High School is an accredited school and approved by the Better Business Bureau. They offer a full money back guarantee on their programs. I am a graduate and I am attending a good college. How can an organization that has been a member of the Better Business Bureau for years be a scam? They can't! That's why the BBB exists. To help consumers make an informed decision. Do your homework! No pun intended.
