    2/3 divide by 1/8

= 2/3 multiply 8/1

= (2 multiply 8) divide by (3 multiply 1)

= 16 divide by 3

=5.33 ( accurate to 2 decimal places)

it's very simple just flip the fraction you are dividing by and multiply.

When dividing fractions, you invert only the denominator and multiply.

(2/3)/(1/8) = (2/3)*(8/1) = 16/3

Suppose the fractions are integers whose quotient you know. 6/3 for example.
(6/1)/(3/1) = (6/1)*(1/3) = (6*1)/(1*3) = 6/3.

To divide two fractions, invert the divisor and then multiply the two
numerators and the two denominators. 2/3 divided by 1/8, after
invertion would be written as 3/2 x 8/1. Multiply the numerators (3 x
8) for the new numerator (24), then multiply the two denominators (2 x
1) for the new denominator (2). The product will then be 24/2 which is
equal to 12.

The first order of business is to invert the fractions, which will yield 3/2, and 8/1, then multiply the numerators and denominators which will give you 24/2 which is actually 24 divided by 2 = 12. Hope this helps.

To divide 2/3 by 1/8 you do 2/3 x 8/1 which is the reciprocal and that will give you 16/3 which equals to 5.33333333 never ending.
