HA! I'm guessing you come from Hispanic origins, it's a "myth" that has circulated somehow, you probably heard it from your mom because they used to do that a lot in the 70's but many stopped because sometimes it would get you only slightly sick, still not sick enough to miss school and then once you get there the putrid smell of sweat and garlic did not make you anymore the approachable! I highly suggest that you do NOT try this, you are probably not going to get sick unless you're a vampire or something, and it'll make you smell like garlic wherever you go.
