An MBA is a 'Master of Business Administration' course. A BSc is a 'Bachelor of the Sciences' course. Both are degrees, taught and learned at tertiary educational institutions. A BSc is an undergraduate program, and an MBA is studied after graduation from an honors degree.

  • What does a BSc do for me?
BSc degrees tend to be good for both specific job areas and multi-purpose application. For example, a graduate of psychology will have the necessary skills to go on and gain employment in the field, but they will also have a broad range of general skills that employers will look for, such as:
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work alone and in a group
  • Ability to produce quality written content
  • Ability to understand complex processes and tasks
  • How does an MBA improve on a BSc?
An MBA studied after a BSc will set a graduate up perfectly for work in big businesses. Corporate work often requires a great deal of understanding to its fickle nature.

Businesses will look to those with more advanced degrees, such as MBAs, to carry their reputations. MBAs are also degrees taught across the world, meaning so long as you can find a company to sponsor you, you should be able to find work in a number of countries as many will recognize your qualification.
