  • What is KNUST?

KNUST stands for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a Ghanaian university established in 1952. The university was established by the African Personality of the Century, Kwame Nkrumah, after whom the university is named.

  • What can be studied at KNUST?

There are four "schools" of learning to which students can apply at KNUSK. These schools are business, law, medicine and pharmacy. Students can also apply to the Institute of Distance Learning and the International Programmes Office.

Undergraduates of businesses at KNUST all study in pursuit of BSc. Business Administration Degree. This degree course lasts for four years, and can be studying on a full-time or part-time basis. Postgraduates can study for an MBA or an EMBA in Business.

Students studying Law at KNUST can study in Public, Private or Commercial Law, and have a great deal of choice over the formulation of their course, as there are lots of different electives for undergraduates to choose from.

Students of the medical school at KNUST can choose from four areas of medicine to study - molecular medicine, surgery, anatomy and medicine. Each department is staffed by highly knowledgeable professors, who are experts in their field.

Similarly, undergraduates studying pharmacy as KNUST have a wide range of choices about the direction of their course. Students can choose from courses in the fields of herbal medicine, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, clinical and social pharmacy and pharmacognosy.
