The Little Rock Nine refers to a pivotal event in the Civil Rights movement in America.
It was in 1957 that a group of African-American students were enrolled in the Little Rock Central High School.
It was due to the groundbreaking supreme court case titled Brown Vs. The Board of Education.
In the aftermath of the initial confrontations between whites and blacks, governors and presidents and the old ways versus the new days to come. In time the feelings of the past have been replaced by the new hopes for our common future. It has and never will be completely perfect but because of the Little Rock Nine we are a more perfect union today.

Well thanks I suppose
Please don't copy and paste though, I actually did not know the answer when I read your question. I looked through several articles and pieced it together on the fly.
I don't want to sound like some old person but you do retain more information by gathering it the boring way. But I am glad I could be some help. You're welcome.
