You can improve your Japanese vocabulary by studying a few words everyday. When you study Japanese, you should learn how to spell the word using the English alphabet and the Japanese alphabets. Learning how to spell the words in both alphabets will help you to remember the words more easily. You can also make a set of flashcards for the words that you would like to learn. Put the Japanese word on one side, then put the English on the other side. You can also make the flashcards more challenging by writing the Japanese word on one side of the card and a description of the word on the other side of the card. Then you can use the flashcards to try to guess the word that best fits the description on the back of the flashcard.

In addition to flashcards, there are also several good sites online that are designed to help teach you Japanese words. Simply enter "Japanese" into a search engine and you will come up with hundreds of good sites.
