Solving for x?

5/6 (5x -2/12) -2/5 > 3/5
                      +2/5  +2/5

5/6 (5x-2/12) > 1

multiply both sides by (6) since that is common denominator ( 2/12 = 1/6)
so that:

5 (30x- 1) > 6

150x- 5 > 6
        +5  +5
150x>11

divide both sides by 150

x> 11/150

When you cleared fractions, you actually multiplied by 6 twice, once inside parentheses and once outside. The result should have been 5(30x-1)>36.

One can clear fractions by multiplying by 180.
  (5/6)(5x - 2/12) - (2/5) > (3/5)
  (5/6)(5x - 1/6) > 1    (add 2/5)
  5x - 1/6 > 6/5    (multiply by 6/5)
  5x > 36/30 + 5/30    (add 1/6, express the fractions as equivalents)
  x > (41/30)/5    (divide by 5)
  x > 41/150
