You must, at first, learn the fundamentals of your project. If your project is about butterfly development, the know everything about it. Learn everything about your IP, and know every background and detail of your project. It may sound complex but once you could get to start knowing your IP's details, it would be worth it. Make sure you review your IP over and over again, and make sure that every single complicated word must have a corresponding definition care of your researching. Lastly, you must have the determination and guts to stand out from the rest.
