Is there a word that you can't spell no matter how many times you have seen it or have tried to spell it in the past?

I was told in school "I before E, except after C", well it does not always work that way. So when I run into a word that has a "C" just prior to an "i" and an "E" I don't always get it right.

It just looks funny either way, so I never know which way is right.....if I'm writing, I just try and make squiggly lines....then it's right! Ha!
