Should Corporal Punishment be re-introduced to schools?

No. Considering the litigious society we live in, such a practice will only produce legions of lawsuits in response. Our local jurisdictions are strapped for funds as it is. I like Aux Arcs' suggestion of having parents called to administer punishment themselves. 

There is no substitute for effective parenting, schools should be imploring parents of unruly students to address behavioral issues in the home, as I believe most do, but there have to be definitive guidelines enforced for removing troublemakers from the learning environment. I am of the view this doesn't happen enough, nor is the general state of parenting what it should be.
