I was in 9th grade at the time. I was only 13 years old and somewhat smaller than the other 9th graders, who were all 14 and 15 years old. I actually remember jumping up to catch his face with my fist. I don't even remember what he said or did to provoke me but, like you said, right button at the wrong time.

You were very young to be in high school. The guy must have truly deserved it. Good for you.
The toughest person in our school one year was a girl who wanted to be called Steve. Even her friends were frightened of her. A boy in a senior grade was making racist and sexist comments. She told him to stop. He didn't. Bad mistake. After school she dragged him from his car onto the grass and beat him. Broke his face bones, one hand, and his elbow. She announced to the huge crowd that anybody else who said racist or sexist things would get the same treatment. No charges. Nobody, including the boy, would identify her. Things calmed down after that. She was in grade ten. She works as a bouncer now.

A girl called Steve, sorta like a Boy Named Sue. Wow, she's someone that I wouldn't want to mess with.
I graduated high school at 16, not something that I would recommend to others. I was smart enough but not mature enough.

I was the kind of guy that wasn't conventionally popular.. But I did have a lot of people that liked me, I could fit into almoat any group. I loved talking to everyone! :) People only started to pick on me when I was open about having a boyfriend. I would hug/kiss him and we'd hold hands. It was brief and cute. Some of my classmates thought otherwise.. I still had all of my friends that mattered, but I was ignored by and picked on by others. Didn't bother me :)

Yea. From the 1st grade through high school. I'll kill you now, but only if you get on my bad side.

Jaimie, you probably realize that teachers cannot assault students with impunity. That was a criminal act by that teacher.
Witnesses? Report filed? Police called? Parents involved? What came of it?

No.  But then I beat up a ten-year-boy when I was nine. (I'm a girl.)

I didn't tell anybody.  But the kids knew.  Now, all these years later, I am still glad I beat him up.  He deserved it.

A bit when I was quite young, yes. I always had more female friends in school and some of the boys saw fit to make fun of me for that. Being nerdy didn't help either.
