To the older people: How did you acquire pen pals when you were younger? I mean, I'm thinking about hopefully having a pen pal. But Idk how it's done. Yes, this is a serious question.

Back in the day, teen mags were full of personals asking for pen pals in different countries. Today with the internet I would think it would be much easier to connect. However, back in the day we didn't have the "predator" concern we have now. So I would recommend you stick to folks you know or are recommended by family and folks you trust.

I didn't do that much as I was always busy doing other things but a couple were neighbor kids that had moved away. But now you can just put pen pals in a search engine and a bunch of pen pal sites come up.
