Is it dangerous to have a low GPA in ninth grade? will universities overlook it later on? i finished with a 2.7 GPA last year ( 2.7 in both semesters) and i am worried it will affect the universities i apply to.

Not if you do significantly better in the next three grades.

Depends on what universities you wish to apply to, and how much competition there is to get enrolled.

Most community colleges don't care what your grades were, and you can often fulfill the first 2 years of any degree through a community college.
