Kent State, Dashikis, Big Hair Afros, Great Music, Watergate, Fallout from MLK and RFK deaths, Kung Fu and Pam Grier movies. Bell bottoms jean, Go-Go Boots, American BandStand, Soul Train, All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Good Times, Barney Miller.

One thing I really liked about the 1970's was that retail products were not all 100% disposable. You didn't have to purchase the same items in perpetuity. This allowed us to have a higher percentage of spending money from our paychecks.
