First lets define quadrilateral.

In Euclidean plane geometry, a quadrilateral is a polygon with four edges (or sides) and four vertices or corners.

In other words and square, rectangle, parallelogram, and rhombus. So If you are painting a room you will need to know the area of four quadrilaterals so you can buy the right amount of paint.

Just about every building is made up quadrilaterals. The computer or phone screen you are looking at is a quadrilateral.

*our* on second 'are'  ..... Isn't it ironic I "*"'d at you since I've no idea what that "q" word you asked about means? So I guess that "Q" word isn't important in my life at all then .... Cos I said so ;)

Far too many important people are quadrilateral. I've known quadrilateral politicans, clergymen,, community leaders, fellow workers, even neighbours and relatives.

And, no, I'm not leaving myself out. There are even people who call me quadrilateral.

I don't mind, of course. Sometimes it's cool to be square.
