School uniform stops competition in fashion, it also makes it easier to identify children who are misbehaving outside of school.
Do school uniforms make school a more effective place to learn?
My personal opinion is that school uniforms, in private or public schools, make the playing field somewhat level. It does in many instances take the clothing / fashion issue off the table.
