Can you say "revoke guilt", would it make sense to say this?

"Remove" would make more sense.  Revoke is more to cancel or invalidate.  They are synonymous, so the subtleties can get tricky.

It could bring your reader up short because he would most likely have to figure out what you mean.

That can be a useful technique; but I would include a precise definition of what that phrase means to you when you use it.

And I would remind you that guilty vs not guilty are legal terms, while guilty vs innocent are moral terms.
