When writing an attachment, or covering letter, to apply for a job, it is vital you customise it for the type of job you are applying for. Taking this into account, you should really use the following attachment letter template as a guide:

Your address goes here
Telephone
Email
For the attention of:
Name the manager in the job advertisement
Their contact address

Dear Mr/Mrs. Miss etc,

Re: (name the role you are applying for)
I would like to apply for the (position) currently advertised on (name where you have seen it advertised eg: Local paper or jobs website). I have enclosed my resume for your consideration.
I first became interested in (refer to the sector or job type and explain why you are interested in the role) during my final year at high school when I attending a work experience placement with (company name). (sector, or job title) appeals to my interests in (working with members of a team, dealing with complex information, etc. Think about the requirements of the job).
I am particularly attracted to working (name the company you are applying to) because I am interested in your policy on (recycling, training and supporting young graduates, etc. Think about why you want to work for this particular company as opposed to another business).
I come from an advanced academic background (talk about what you have studied at high school or college and think about how this may be relevant to the role). I have also gained a lot of experience in (dealing with complex customer complaints, customer service, etc. Use this section to talk briefly about how your previous work experience would benefit you in this role).
I would like to thank you in advance for considering my application.
Sincerely,
(your name)
