Setting:
Firstly, setting is the physical, sensuous world of the work. Secondly, it is the time in which the action of the work takes place. And third, it s the social environment of the characters.

Plot:
Plot is the plan of action for a play, novel, poem, short story, etc. When we read a story, we continue reading because we are waiting for the resolution of a conflict, or the solution to a mystery, a moral to the story, or just a plain "happy ending"! This is what keeps us reading the story!

Setting is where the story takes place. Example: Tom Sawyer Chapter 1: At Tom's house. Plot is the main conflict/inciting incident. Example Beauty and The Beast, Beast takes the lady, that started the conflict.
