The area of a triangle is given by
area = base*height/2

There are other formulas that you can use to compute the area, depending on the information you are given about the triangle.

I like to know the square footage of a irregular triangle: 191' x 158' x101'.

If you have a square top 20"x20" and you need to cut 4 triangles out for the top what would be the size of each triangle 3 sides.  Also the points meet at the center but it drops down it the center 3". It is approx 10"x 14....?????"
