- Math problems
Often, children who do poorly in math simply lack the logic skills and natural aptitude other kids are born with. For certain boys and girls, math just naturally feels like punishment.
If you struggle to solve math problems, don't feel too bad about it. Just do your best, study your textbooks, ask teachers for help and remember to be kind to yourself, because you are trying as hard as you can. Sometimes, being a math whiz is just not in the cards. Of course, many of today's most amazing fashion designers, artists and rock stars were not exactly math geniuses, either.
Even through you may eventually choose a career path that leads far away from mathematics, you will still need to pass your courses, and learn some basic skills you can use later on. Focus on the future by doing all you can to pass your courses today.
Tutors can be very helpful to kids suffering from sadness or shame related to problems doing math. A tutor works side by side with you, giving you the special attention you need. A tutor will teach you in a more private place, where you don't need to feel everyone's eyes on you. If you think a tutor might help you solve an equation like the one posted above, talk to you parents about getting one.
