How Did Gandhi Help India To Gain Independence?

Gandhi gained independence by using his idea of non violent resistance.
He never used british products
he used hand made products.
He rolled the spinning wheel and made cloth.
He opened many protests such as the salt march.
He didn't ate anything while he was in jail to make the nations think better of him.
