Discriminant = b^2 - 4ac

In the given equation a = 1, b = 4 and c = 4

Therefore 4^2 - 4(1)(4) = 16 - 16 = 0

The equation would make a symmetric parabolan. There would be 2 x-intercepts.

Discriminant = b^2-4ac

the equation is x^2+4x+4.....(1)
ax^2+bx+c.....(2)
comparing eq. (1) and eq. (2)
In this given equation is a=1,b=4,c=4
(4)^2-4(1)(4)
16-16
= 0

Can you calculate the value of the discriminant if the value of c is not given?
For example s = -0.75p^2 + 54
