They wore kohl and sometimes lead on their eyes to prevent pink eye, or as they called it igi-hulu: 'evil eye'. They also wore their eye make up to shield their eyes from the sun. They wore lots of perfume. They have found shells filled with red, white, yellow, green, and black pigments that were used for makeup. They used red henna on their lips which lasted for weeks.
