GCF can also be called as GCD {Greater common divisor}
So number which is divided by 9 : -- 1, 3, 9.
And number goes in 27 : -- 1, 3, 9, 27.
Now take out the common divisor from both the number;
clearly visible that 1, 3, and 9 are the common factor
now multiply all the three term and hence you will get the Greatest Common Factor ..3 * 9 3 * = 27
27 is your answer.

GCF stands for Greatest Common Factor. The GCF of 9 and 27 can be calculated as follows:
Prime Factors of 9 are: 1x3x9
Prime Factors of 27 are: 1x3x9x27
The common factors are 1,3,9
Thus the GCF = 1x3x9= 27 is the answer
