GCF can also be called as GCD {Greater common divisor}
So number which is divided by 9 : -- 1, 3, 9.
And number goes in 27 : -- 1, 3, 9, 27.
Now take out the common divisor from both the number;
clearly visible that 1, 3, and 9 are the common factor
now multiply all the three term and hence you will get the Greatest Common Factor ..3 * 9 3 * = 27
27 is your answer.
