How Many Laps Do I Have To Do To Complete A Mile If The Track Is 0.6 Miles?
Just about 1 and a half laps is a mile.
Two laps are 1.2 miles.
1 and 2/3 laps = one mile.
I am walking a track that is 1/8th mile, how many times do I go around to make a mile
One lap equals 60% or .60 of 1.0 mile. So if you run 1 lap you have run .60 of a mile or 60% so you would have to run an additional .40 or 40% of the track in order to complete a full mile.
1 lap = .6 miles
X laps 1 miles
cross multiply .6 x X= .6X 1 x 1=1
divide each side by .6 x=1.667 laps
