In ancient times, the children youngest of the Native People known as Caddo did not wear any clothes, or just a fur or leather robe. After they were "discovered" by the Europeans, they often were dressed in the same type of clothing the colonists wore. When they were removed from their homeland to Indian Territory, which became the state of Oklahoma, they wore the same type of clothes all frontier children wore.
