Initially seen as just the daughter of 90s country sensation Billy Ray Cyrus who had a smash hit with "Don't Tell My Heart", Miley Cyrus (born Destiny Hope) has since carved out a career for herself as an actress as well as being a successful singer and songwriter.

Making her name in The Disney Channel's hit TV series Hannah Montana, where Cyrus played the lead role of Miley Stewart, she has gone on to forge a career for herself as well as a number of hit singles and top-selling albums, not to mention appearing in the movies.

The power ballad "When I Look at You" was released in March of 2010 and was written by John Shanks and Hillary Lindsey and was taken from the album "Times of Our Lives". Reaching just 16 in The Billboard Top 100 Chart, the record was seen as an average success and not as big a hit as some of Cyrus's other releases. The song is probably as notable for the distinctive piano chords as anything else and many fans and admirers alike attempt to replicate the sound.

The danger of trying to find music and sheet music online is that anything under 50 years of age is still protected by copyright, so often you find people attempting to guess the words, lyrics or music of songs. After some basic web search it would seem that the notes for the intro at least for "When I Look at You" are, F# B F# A F# A F# G.

There are many tutorial videos on websites like YouTube such as www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSBRt-0HVBs which demonstrates how to play the piano notes for this song, they may be worth studying if you are attempting to master this song for yourself on the piano.

First part:

Left Hand: D sharp
Right Hand: F sharp /B/ F sharp/ A sharp
Right hand: F sharp/ A sharp / F sharp / G sharp
Right hand: F / F sharp/ B

** Sharp means the BLACK key to the right of the letter
eg. F sharp; look for F on piano and the black key to the right of it

Hope this helped.
