As a person who is very fat and has dieted on and off for many years, it is a source of frustration when someone would suggest trying to loose weight.  it would be obvious to most that that would have certainly have been suggested and tried on at least several occasions. So when someone suggests trying to loose weight I get somewhat sarcastic about it. I usually put on a straight face and play along. Something I would be likely to say is, "no, I never thought of that before, what a great idea. " or " oh yes, I've heard about dieting, I must try it". This is sarcasm in action. Most people usually twig on and apologise.

Sarcasm is saying something that you don't really mean. For example, if someone were to say "you look nice", and you reply "sure they do". Then you don't really mean it. It can offend many people when you are sarcastic so be careful how you use it.

Sarcasm is used when an obvious answer could be provided, but is not necessary to get the point.  most people find sarcasm to be witty and humorous, but others find it to be rude and obnoxious. Anyway, an example would be if someone came up to me (a 25year old adult male) and asked me if I crapped my pants. The obvious answer would be "no, kind sir. I do not crap my pants. Crapping is for the toilet." the sarcastic answer would be, " I sure do. Crapping in my pants is so fun. All the cool people do it."

Sarcasm is when you say something and don't really mean it. Usually people say it with this specific tone in their voice that I cannot provide in words, ditto with some look on their face. Eg. Your friends says "do you like my sweater"? And you would say "Oh yeah it looks great" and you wouldn't really mean it. Be careful when you are being sarcastic though as it may offend people.

Let's just say someone you know is sick in bed with there pajamas on. When this happens they usually don't look great. So if you said "you like pretty" or something along that lines it would be sarcasm.
Don't be sarcastic to much because it can hurt peoples feelings!!!
