A multiple of the number seven is defined as any number that can be evenly divided by the number or a number that seven can equal when multiplied by another number. Some of the numbers that are multiples of the number seven include fourteen, twenty one, twenty eight, thirty five, forty two, forty nine, fifty six, and so on. Learning math basics such as the multiples of any given number are an important part of the education of a child and it is never too early to start.

Learning multiplication and division and the multiples of any given number are one of the basics of math that need to be mastered at any early age if a child is going to be successful later on in more complicated math subjects such as algebra, calculus, and geometry that they will face in junior high and high school, and possibly face them again in college.

One of the best ways a parent can help a child learn multiplication and division early on is flash cards. Drill children for about thirty minutes at a time daily and introduce a new number every day while reviewing the ones the child has learned. In no time at all, a child of average intelligence can learn all of the multiples of the first ten numbers very quickly, most often within just a few weeks.

There are also a number of computer games that can aid in the math development of children and in this day and age when technology and computers are so prevalent, you can kill two birds with one stone using this approach. Your child can learn to operate the basic functions of a computer such as use of the mouse while learning math at the same time. A win-win proposition for everyone, especially your child.
