Henri Fayol holds a prominent position in the modern Management practices. His most important contribution to management sciences was his management functions theory.
According to Henri, Management had five basic functions which are:
- Planning
- Organizing
- Leading
-Controlling
- Coordinating
His management theory is by far the most relevant and best management theory. It is appropriate for the contemporary management practices. Most of the theories are built upon this theory. That is why this theory is considered to be the best.
