First you need to think about what you want your story to involve. Every story has a beginning, middle and end. If you have your plot written down, divide the plot into chapters and decide where each part of the story belongs.

You need to make sure that your story begins with some action. Think about the pace of the novel. Readers dislike a slow start, or if they do encounter a slow start, then they will hope that the action will start soon.

Structure your novel so that it has some action at the start, along with an interesting introduction to your characters. The middle of the story is the hardest part to write, as this is the bulk of the book. You need to structure your story so that there are plenty of interesting things happening in the middle of the book. Don't just shove all the action into the end of the book, as readers aren't likely to get that far if the middle of the book has absolutely no action whatsoever.

Also, make sure you place plenty of twists in your story. Readers like plenty of surprise. Try to place a few twists in the middle of your story and go straight into the action when you begin. That way your book will keep the reader's attention throughout.
