The easiest way to avoid using vague words is to always be direct. Using words and phrases such as I will, definitely, absolutely, yes and no will ensure your message is always clear and never 'vague'.

It will more than likely leave them unsure of your message or commitment to a certain idea or event. If a person is clear and direct then their message should be simple to understand. This speeds things up and also ensures there is little doubt to what the person wants or their views on the matter.
