The PMP (Project Management Professional) program is a type of official recognition for Project Managers. It assures top level professional and ethical benchmarks in the community of working Project Management Professionals.
To validate the PMP Certification procedure, one must fulfil all requirements in one out of two groups.
Group 1: Having a baccalaureate degree, applicants must certify 3 calendar years experience in the area of project management, having minimum 4,500 of experience. Also, one must certify 35 hours of official training and of course pass the PMP examination.
Group 2: If lacking a baccalaureate degree, one must certify minimum five years experience in the area of project management, having minimum 7,500 hours experience. They must certify 35 hours of official training and of course pass the PMP Certification examination.
