Try this if its circumference is given:
Since Circumference= pi x diameter, by re-equating you'll get
Diameter= Circumference /pi
Remember, diameter is twice the measure of its radius.

Draw two non -parallel chords inside the circle and draw the perpendicular bisector of each. The intersection point will give you the centre . From this centre you can find the diameter
