"Enlarge 4/5 to the equivalent fraction in tenths?" How can I find a tutorial to show me how to do this?

You need to multiply the numerator and denominator by the same number.

If you want the denominator to go from 5 to 10, then you have to multiply the denominator by 2. Since you do that to the denominator, you have to do the same to the numerator. In order to do that, you have to multiply 4 by 2. The answer you get should be 8/10

This process is called expanding the fraction by a form of 1. As you should know multiplying by 1 does not change the value of the multiplicand.

2/2 * 4/5

= 8/10

======Reverse process to reduce fractions. When you get to college algebra and calculus you will need to start doing these in your head.
