If an object 6.6 feet tall casts a shadow that is 19.8 feet long. how long in feet would the shadow be for an object which is 14.7 feet tall?

if the Light source remains still, then  ratio of obj. Height to shadow length  must be always same

                    let the unknown shadow length is 'L '

                                  6.6/ 19.8 = 14.7 / L           

                                      1 /3      =  14.7 / L            ( 6.6/19.8 = 1/3 )

                                        L =  14.7 x 3            ( cross multiplication)

                                        L =  44.1  feet
