For me personally it's none of the above. I like to just read the textbook and study on my own. I hate going to lectures because they're so boring and the teacher often goes on tangents that confuses me on what I've already known about chemistry. And I don't really like tutors because I honestly don't need such individualized attention. I know most of my subjects well enough that too much individual attention would just freak me out. I like to look things over when I'm by myself and if I have questions, then I go and ask for help from a tutor or a teacher.
This just shows that every person is different. Some people like the classroom setting better while other people need to have more attention and a tutor is what helps them with that. And then there are people like me who are neither one of those. That's why in order to truly know, you just have to explore your options and try everything out to see what works and what doesn't. There is no set answer.
