Read some articles about different stories about immigrants. All immigrants are seeking a better life for both them and their family. Back home there may be poverty, crime, war and all sorts, but in another place they can feel safe, secure and find better jobs, housing and services. The immigrants, when illegal, usually take transport that they can afford, so they often end up being transported by dangerous means such as on a boat. Boats can sink and the immigrant has his or her family to think about, but the risk might be worth it if their lives would be a lot better in another country.
