Time is a tool that continuously etches into Earth's history all of the events that HAVE taken place, CURRENTLY take place, and WILL take place in the future. And not just Earth, but every planet, every star, every system, Galaxy, and universe (if there really is more than one).
As we all know, time has several units we use for measurement: Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, and millennia (there may be more).
It is a tool that keeps on going at a constant pace and never stops, slows down, or speed up. Time is currently engraving me writing this answer out in Earth's history, because it took me about a minute or so to finish it.
