I don't really have an opinion, but "write" and "right" are two completely different words that sound exactly the same. This makes them homophones.

This means they sound exactly the same, but have different meanings and spellings.

Homonyms are kind of different... The word "right" is a homonym, because it can exist with two different meanings that have the same spelling and sound.

I'm right (exactly) on the money! I can even hold my right (direction) hand up and testify that the word "right" has a whole bunch of different meanings... That's what makes it a homonym, right? (correct?).

Just to mix things up, there are also homographs to look out for. They are spelled exactly the same, but sound and mean different things.

I hope you're content (happy) with this content (the information available on this site).

Non-native speakers might wonder how we can tell the difference, and the answer is largely "context".

Hmm. There's a third of course.

It is the right of any theologian to write the rites of his beliefs whether he be dextrous or sinister (which is, of course, right-handed or left-handed). At least, I HOPE that's right.

Me? I have the right to remain silent, and probably should have done so.

English is a helluva language.

Reminds me of a cartoon I once saw.
He: How do you spell their?
She: Is that T-H-E-R-E, T-H-I-E-R, or T-H-E-Y-'-R-E?
He: T-H-I-E-R.
She: T-H-E-I-R.
He: I thought so.
