If you're distracted, you're not paying attention to your driving. Distractions could be talking on the phone, texting, talking to a passenger, etc.
What is distracted driving?
If you are doing anything else besides driving your car while you are driving your car, that's the definition of a "distraction."
It is doing anything other than driving, while driving. It could be changing your music, talking or texting on your phone, eating, driving with your dog in your lap, or anything that takes your mind away from the task of driving. I have actually seen people driving with a portable dvd player resting on their steering wheel. Smh.
