Who came up with recipes with a swig or a dash or a pinch of something?i imagine their are more crazy words you have any?

My husbands Uncle use to make the BEST homemade salsa and when he would make it, he would always use a "shake" of the seasonings. I could never get the shake down. :0(

It all depends on the size of your thumb and pointer finger. "Uncle Joe's" fingers are bigger than "Aunt Marie's"  LOL

I always use the word "skoch". It means a small amount. ( rhymes with coach)

"I only use a skoch of salt on certain foods"
