I don't really remember. I was three when I could suss out most of the words and read with meaning. I know I used to play school with my mom and older brothers. I probably picked it up doing that.

I'll be darned if I remember. Probably school.
I really wanted to read. I would look at words and really was curious about them. When I went to school they had this simple reading curriculum that had repetitive and simple words with bright pictures. I remember characters such a Jane and Spot. "See Spot run, run Spot run." Lol
My dad had issues and got rid of our T.V. When I was very small. So I had to read, it was a nice escape from every day life.
In school ,i was never a good reader till i was older
My older sister started learning how to read in kindergarten, so I made her teach me. I was four years old at the time. I'm never without a book now. I love reading!!
